Overview

The Financial Analyst II is an expert in finding areas to focus on improvement, financial analysis, reconciliations and reporting via Power point and Excel.  They can assist with SOX audits and find where there are holes in procedures.  Their responsibilities include working across multiple teams and platforms to extract data figures, creating reports based on their findings, and monitoring key performance indicators to determine the success of key initiatives.  The financial analyst also contributes as a technical resource, helping to chart and track changing workflows, utilizing AR and other data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides weekly and monthly financial reports and Power point slides for Leadership and Executives.
  • Identify, build and report on operational Key Performance Indicators and issues them out on a timely manner.
  • Deliver financial and operational analysis for internal reporting and executive presentations
  • Create visually appealing reports that enable sound decision making on key initiatives
  • Ensure data integrity for multiple areas across property systems
  • Able to use complex joins, subqueries, analytical functions to return clean, comprehensive, and relevant datasets.
  • Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving complex problems
  • Collaborate with project team members to include other data analysts and technical/database leads providing insights into data issues driving business decisions and processing events.
  • Generate financial reports and analyses, offering insights into crucial financial metrics and trends.
  • Enhance financial processes, systems, and procedures continually to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Assist will keeping teams SOX compliant and pulling data for auditors.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience in financial analysis or corporate finance roles and audit.
  • Highly analytic and critical mindset demonstrated by asking second and third order questions developed through exploratory data analysis
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including building complex financial models and utilizing advanced functions.
  • Proficient in Power point to create slides and presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations
  • Knowledge of financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and mergers and acquisitions processes is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational & time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization and across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time-management skills resulting in being able to work independently and deliver on time results.
