The Software Engineer III is a senior engineer who owns complex features, provides technical leadership, and mentors other engineers – including in the effective and responsible use of AI coding agents as part of the team's standard development practice.
Lead design and implementation of complex features, using coding agents to accelerate multi-file and cross-service changes where appropriate.
Make architectural decisions focused on scalability and maintainability, including structuring code and documentation so agents can operate on it reliably.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in effective prompting, context management, and critical review of AI-generated code.
Define and share team best practices for when to use agentic tools, how to scope tasks for them, and how to validate their output.
Influence sprint planning and technical direction, including estimating how AI-assisted development changes delivery timelines.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis, including for issues introduced by AI-generated code.
Champion best practices across the team and evaluate new AI-assisted development tools and techniques.
5–7+ years of professional software development experience.
Deep expertise in C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL Server.
Experience with distributed systems and APIs.
Proven track record of using AI coding agents on complex, real-world changes, with strong judgment about their limitations and appropriate use.
Proven technical leadership and mentoring ability, including coaching others on agent-assisted development.
