Overview

The Implementation Consultant I supports customer implementations for one or more RealPage products by following established processes, coordinating required deliverables, and helping customers move successfully from kickoff through go-live. This role focuses on foundational implementation execution, accurate setup work, backlog hygiene, and responsive customer communication under guidance from more senior teammates.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage low-complexity implementations or clearly defined workstreams for small to midsize customers under established implementation standards.
    • Complete site setup and configuration tasks using approved templates, checklists, and documented business rules.
    • Coordinate customer deliverables, gather required inputs, and track milestones to support on-time project completion.
    • Partner with internal teams such as conversion, training, and support to keep assigned implementations moving forward.
    • Maintain accurate project notes, forecasted activation dates, and backlog updates on a weekly basis.
    • Provide timely status updates to customers and raise blockers, scope concerns, or timeline risks to leadership.
    • Support testing, validation, and customer readiness activities prior to activation or handoff.
    • Follow through on commitments and deliver a professional customer experience throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in software, SaaS, real estate, property management, or other customer-facing operational environments preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain next steps clearly to customers and internal partners.
  • Strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to manage multiple activities at one time.
  • Able to work with limited supervision while knowing when to escalate issues or ask for support.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and adaptable to process change, team priorities, and customer needs.
  • Willing to work a fixed night shift schedule and flexible work arrangement as required by the business.

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must have the ability to operate a personal computer and express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. May be required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May be required to lift or move 10+ pounds.
