Overview

As a Hybrid DBA Engineer IV, you will report to the Sr. MANAGER. With strong expertise in cloud-native databases, AI-driven automation, and enterprise DR operations. This role supports mission critical systems across MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, while driving modernization, cloud adoption, and reliability engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and optimize databases across Linux-based MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle.  
  • Lead AWS & GCP database operations (RDS, Aurora, Cloud SQL).  
  • Execute onprem to cloud migrations using AWS DMS, native cloud tools, automation.  
  • Implement IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and drive automation of RUN activities.  
  • Design and maintain DR architectures ensuring RTO/RPO compliance.  
  • Improve performance using CloudWatch, OEM, SolarWinds DPA, and cloud-native monitors.  
  • Integrate AI/LLM/RAG-based tools (LangSmith, vector search workflows) into database operations.  
  • Support backup/restore, replication, version upgrades, and operational excellence.  
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting in collaboration with Engineering & Architecture teams.  
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support database integration during acquisitions. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.  
  • 8+ years’ experience in Linux-based DBA roles (MySQL/Postgres/Oracle/DB2).  
  • 2+ years experience managing cloud databases on AWS & GCP 
  • Strong Linux, scripting, Terraform, Ansible experience.  
  • Familiarity with LLM, RAG, LangSmith, AI-based automation in DB operations.  
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving mindset. 
  • High ownership, adaptability, and passion for learning modern database and AI technologies. 
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
