Overview

The Team Lead I demonstrates expert knowledge of Screening products and a strong functional understanding of interdependencies across Screening Operations and the broader organization. This role provides full lead coverage for all core operational responsibilities, ensuring adherence to compliance standards, driving daily execution, and supporting both operational and people leadership needs. Through effective leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making, the Team Lead I manages escalations, coaches team members, partners with stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement within Screening Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides lead coverage for all core operational responsibilities, including oversight of compliance standards and daily workflows.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the risks and benefits of Screening products and operational processes.
  • Leads, coaches, and mentors Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), reinforcing organizational best practices.
  • Trains and supports team members on handling escalated consumer and client complaints, including litigation, BBB, and Yelp-related cases.
  • Embeds the Operations business vision into daily leadership interactions, coaching sessions, and decision-making.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with business partners and clients to support operational enhancements and change initiatives.
  • Leverages new technologies, challenges conventional thinking, and drives efficiencies through process improvement.
  • Coaches team members in problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, and analytical thinking.
  • Uses active listening to clarify issues and effectively communicate guidance, feedback, and expectations to team members and leadership.
  • Rapidly assesses emerging situations, determines appropriate actions, executes solutions, and communicates outcomes and risks to leadership.
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of all RealPage Screening product and service segments.
  • Owns and delivers daily and monthly operational reporting, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvement initiatives within Screening Operations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE - SKILLS - ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Highly energetic, self-motivated, and customer-focused mindset
  • Resourceful, creative, and able to think outside the box
  • Willingness to assume additional leadership responsibilities as business needs evolve
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace)
  • Multifamily housing experience preferred
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Proficient in all Screening Operations tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and lead others
  • Proven experience handling high-level escalations, including litigation, BBB, and Yelp complaints
  • Skilled in creating, reviewing, and analyzing operational reports
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
