Overview

The HR Shared Service Associate IV is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for advanced, high-complexity HR Operations support across the entire employee lifecycle. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for escalated cases, HRIS data governance, compliance activities, and cross-functional operational problem-solving. The Associate IV contributes to internal controls, leads complex case resolution, and drives continuous improvement across HR Operations.

Responsibilities

Advanced Employee Support & Case Resolution
  • Resolve escalated and highly complex HR inquiries requiring deep policy, systems, or compliance expertise.
  • Serve as Tier 2/3 support within the HR case management workflow.
  • Coach and support junior associates on resolution quality and best practices.
HRIS & Data Governance
  • Lead advanced HRIS transactions, data audits, and mass data changes.
  • Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and IT for system testing, issue resolution, and configuration validation.
  • Produce advanced analytical reports, dashboards, and compliance datasets.
Onboarding, Transfers & Offboarding
  • Manage complex onboarding and offboarding cases, including global hires, sensitive roles, and regulated worker types.
  • Conduct quality reviews of lifecycle transactions performed by Shared Services team members.
  • Maintain SME-level knowledge of lifecycle workflows.
Benefits & Leave Administration Support
  • Serve as escalation point for complex benefits and leave cases.
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve benefit discrepancies and compliance concerns.
  • Support accommodation requests and regulated leave requirements.
Compliance, Audit & Controls
  • Lead Shared Services activities for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure multi-jurisdictional compliance related to employee data, documentation, and process adherence.
  • Maintain and monitor critical HR controls.
Process Optimization & Project Leadership
  • Identify process gaps, root causes, and automation opportunities.
  • Lead or co-lead HR Operations projects, SOP redesigns, and system rollouts.
  • Maintain expert-level SOP documentation.
Cross-functional Partnership & Communication
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, HRBPs, and other partners.
  • Translate complex topics into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Represent Shared Services in meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
Expanded Scope
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives and high-priority projects.
  • Serve as SME for critical HR processes, systems, and compliance areas.
  • Support complex audit cycles and regulatory reporting.
  • Act as escalation liaison across HR Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of HR Operations, Shared Services, or complex case management experience.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes and HRIS platforms.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting global HR operations.
  • Lead-level or SME experience in HR shared services.
  • Advanced Excel and analytics/reporting capabilities.

  • Ability to support and influence cross-functional teams.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
