Overview

Join RealPage as a seasoned Full Stack Developer II, where innovation meets functionality in the real estate industry's technology. We offer a cutting-edge platform that integrates investment tracking, CRM, document sharing, and reporting, all built upon a Ruby on Rails API, a PostgreSQL database, and with occasional requirements for Angular front-end capabilities. Our full-stack developers are adept at contributing across the API layer, front-end, and database design, supported by a dedicated dev-ops team for seamless deployment and operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications predominantly using Ruby on Rails, and occasionally work with Angular as required. 
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to complete planned items and contribute to technical discussions and grooming sessions. 
  • Adhere to agile methodologies, specifically two-week sprints, to consistently deliver planned items and new features. 
  • Employ Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to create reusable and efficient code. 
  • Proactively identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions to enhance the application's performance and user experience. 
  • Partner with the Product/BA Team for a better understanding of product requirements and deliver feature developments with minimal supervision. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Over 6 years of web development experience, with substantial expertise in Ruby on Rails. 
  • Capable of working with SQL databases and well-versed in Mocking, MVC, and ORM. 
  • Basic understanding of GraphQL, Sidekiq, and Docker, with an emphasis on strong object-oriented programming skills. 
  • Experience with Microsoft web technologies, database programming, and a solid foundation in OOP. 
  • Hands-on experience in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Postgres/similar, Redis. 
  • Effective communication skills are essential, alongside an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience in full product lifecycle development with Microsoft Technologies. 
  • Knowledge of or experience with full-stack development. 
  • Although Angular expertise is not a primary requirement, the ability to navigate and work within Angular environments is necessary when needed.
