Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounts Payable Sr. Manager to lead our global accounts payable function within our India-based Shared Services Center. Supporting a $2B global technology company, this role will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, maintaining compliance, and fostering continuous improvement across our end-to-end Source-to-pay cycle.

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing accounts payable operations in a global shared services environment. This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a hands-on approach to process optimization, vendor management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the global accounts payable operations to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing of invoices and payments.
  • Lead end-to-end AP processes including invoice receipt and validation, three-way matching, payment runs, vendor reconciliations, and exception resolution.
  • Establish and enforce robust internal controls to mitigate fraud risks and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), corporate policies, and regulatory requirements, including tax and 1099 reporting.
  • Serve as a key liaison with external vendors, internal business units, procurement, and treasury to manage relationships and resolve issues.
  • Drive automation initiatives and process improvements in partnership with IT, procurement, and finance transformation teams.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics (KPIs), identifying opportunities to improve processing speed, accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development opportunities to a team of AP professionals, building a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Lead or support ERP implementations and enhancements, including Oracle and Coupa, and help integrate new tools and technologies.
