Overview

Reporting to the Legal Head in the Philippines, the Compliance Manager is responsible for the proper, timely, and accurate preparation and submission of all Company statutory and regulatory compliances to government agencies by consistently and diligently managing the compliance work outcome of all employees who perform compliance and compliance-related roles including all pertinent pre-work with government and private entities, by executing the Company’s Compliance Program and ensuring real-time updates to the Compliance Enablement Tools, and by diligently monitoring and recommending actions, initiatives, or projects for continuous improvements in all legal compliance work.  The position will lead a cross-functional team of compliance stakeholders in the company to assist the Legal Head in ensuring that the company operates in accordance with Philippine laws and regulations and with the company’s internal policies, procedures, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Reports Management – to manage the work outcome of all employees who render compliance and compliance-related tasks through consistent and agile collaboration, to hold pertinent meetings with the compliance stakeholders at appropriate intervals and duration, to diligently monitoring all the team members for their adherence with pre-defined compliance roles and responsibilities to drive productivity, excellence, and consistent execution, including the actual handling of the preparation and submission of compliance matters assigned to the Legal Department or as delegated by the Legal Head (35%)
  • Ecozone Compliance Lead – to be the Company’s main point of contact to manage from end-to-end the full implementation of all PEZA and PEZA-related compliances including but not limited to all permits and documentation for the lawful movement of goods (e.g., 8105, 8106, 8112, etc.) including the lawful purchase, importation and disposal of goods; the applications for all PEZA Letters of Authority needed by the company for various transactions; responding to or complying with all PEZA Orders or Correspondences; processing the start or end of operations including the delisting or transfer of any registered businesses, activities, or new sites; and other PEZA reports (e.g., Monthly Deployment of Assets for WFH), requirements and compliances (35%)
  • Compliance Program Delivery and Enablement Tools Improvement –  to assist the Legal Head to review the Company’s annual Compliance Program, to lead in its implementation and monitoring, to recommend continuous improvements related to compliance policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions; to ensure that the RealPage Philippines Compliance Library and the Compliance Calendar are updated methodically, accurately, and in real-time,  to see to it that these tools can be relied upon by the Company and all compliance stakeholders at all times; and to recommend improvements or upgrades on an ongoing basis to these tools including the adoption of suitable AI tools, processes, and AI agents under the supervision of the Legal Head (15%)
  • Legal Operations Support – to assist the Legal Head in all operational, administrative, or other matters related to legal and leadership functions including such functions and support tasks in data privacy, contracts, cases, corporate governance support, and such other functions that the Legal Head may from time-to-time assign (15%)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of PEZA compliance and general compliance work from reputable software or tech companies in the Philippines
  • Strong executional skills  and an emerging expert in the PEZA and general compliance field
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster efficient collaboration and teamwork including leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability for critical thinking and logic, a problem solver with a can-do attitude
  • Comprehension of, or a strong interest in, artificial intelligence as an emerging work necessity
